Oak Crest, the Erickson Living retirement community in Parkville, Md., has promoted Pam Spry, RN, BSN, to be its director of nursing, according to a news release. Spry has worked for Oak Crest for nine years, previously serving as quality assurance/quality improvement nurse in the continuing care area.
As director of nursing, Spry will focus on providing person-centered healthcare and fostering a culture of high-quality service excellence to residents and their families, according to the release. Staff education also will be a major emphasis of the job.
Spry is certified in infection control and prevention from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology.
