Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, N.Y, announced plans May 21 to build a 696,000-square-foot, seven-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private med/surg patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms.
A certificate of need has been filed with the New York State Department of Health, according to a news release. Contingent upon DOH’s expected approval by the end of 2015, groundbreaking is scheduled for May 2016 and the first patient will be cared for in the building in January of 2019.
